5JUST BUY ONE!!
By Bob Karelitz
Unquestionably the best attachment I've ever bought. Finishes beautifully and effortlessly. Well worth every penny.

Added 11/8/2010 - Regarding the self threading function not working with this foot on, so what's stopping anyone from threading the needle BEFORE putting on the side cutter? That's how I do it. And it's still the best attachment I've ever bought. Bob

3Fabric goes on top
By Rachel Young
It works...finally! The instructions suck and I finally figured it out after reading others reviews. The fabric must to on top of the serger. The instructions tell you to cut the fabric. Then insert...well the left side of the cut goes under the attachment like regular sewing. The right side stays on top and this allows it to cut. Please post this review because I almost returned it as not working.

5Tickled pink!
By Jean K.
I just can't say enough about this product. I had to read, re-read and get my husband to read and re-read the directions for using the cutter. So don't get discouraged if you don't figure it out on the first try.
The directions could be better, but the cutter itself is fabulous.
It does exactly what it is supposed to do and does it well. No more zig zagging seams and then cutting off the excess or cutting the excess and zig zagging. All done in one easy step.
I checked with Brother to make sure it was compatible with my machine even though my model wasn't listed.
The only problem I had was when in the straight stitch the needle hit the bar, but I don't think I would use this attachment with a straight stitch.
