Product Description

Singer Even Feed/Walking Foot

The Even Feed Foot also well known as a Walking Foot has its own set of feed dogs that work in conjunction with the machines feeding system to improve the flow of the fabric. This is particularly important when sewing several layers of fabric, such as in quilting. The Even Feed Foot "pulls" the top layer or layers of fabric through at the same speed as the machine's feed dogs are pulling the bottom layers or layers of fabric. The walking foot is wonderful for fabrics that stretch or slip easily, such as velvet and corduroy. You won't believe how helpful this foot is for matching plaids and other difficult patterns perfectly.

Used to sew plaids, velours, velvets, ultra suede and other napped fabrics.

Fits Singer models 1019, 1025, 1027, 1100, 1105, 1107, 1116, 1120, 1130, 132, 140Q, 1507WC, 1725, 1732, 1748, 2250, 2259, 2302, 2303, 2304, 2315, 2330, 2440, 2502, 2503, 2504, 2515, 2517, 2530, 262 3, 2638, 2662, 2932, 2950, 3116, 3270, 3314, 3317, 3343, 3709, 3722, 3750, 3800, 3810, 3812, 3820, 3822, 3825, 3860, 4116, 4205, 4206, 4210, 4212, 4528, 4620, 4622, 4830, 5000, 5017, 5028, 5040, 5050, 5400, 5417C, 5430, 5700, 5705, 5710, 57000, 57817, 57820, 57825, 5800, 5802, 5805, 5806, 5808, 5810, 5812, 5814, 5816, 5817, 5818, 5820, 5825, 5828, 5830, 5838, 6038, 6100, 6102, 6104, 6105, 6106, 6110, 6120, 6130, 6136, 6146, 6152, 6156, 6174, 6184, 6210, 6211, 6212, 6214, 6215, 6217, 6221, 6305, 6310, 6314, 6318, 6408, 6412, 6416, 6423, 6510, 6550, 7136, 7146, 7184, 7186, 7211, 7212, 7256, 7258, 7300, 7312, 7330, 7350, 7360, 7380, 7412, 7422, 7424, 7426, 7436, 7442, 7444, 7460, 7462, 7463, 7464, 7565, 7466, 7467, 7468, 7469, 7469Q, 7470, 8280, 8763, 8770, 8780, 9910, 9920, 9940, Athena 2009, CE100, CE150, CE-200, CE250, CE350, SES1000, CG500, CG550, CG590, CM17, FM17, FM22, HD10, HD102, HD105, HD110, SM14.

5Every one with a sewing machine should have one of these gems!
By RogueHistorian
After reading scads of books on quilting and machine quilting, I broke down and bought a walking foot for my very inexpensive Singer Simple machine. This food is not made by Singer, but is high quality none the less. It made machine quilting so much easier than I ever thought possible. The material, including the batting, cruised under the foot like a dream. I have left it on the machine for small sewing projects as well and have found it makes thicker material easier to sew. I highly recommend this item for every machine!

5Nice Walking Foot
By T. Hough
I bought this for my older Singer sewing machine, model 1120, which is about 10 years old and one of the entry-level machines that were available at my local discount store, i.e. not a fancy or complicated machine. I originally bought this foot to practice straight-line quilting, but I have yet to have time to use it for that. However, I have used it to hem fleece pants and it worked so much better than the basic presser foot--it prevented the frustrating gathering and puckering that I had experienced in the past. My walking foot did come with a little sheet of instructions that showed how to install it, which was still a little tricky, but once you figure it out, you'll be able to install and remove it easily. The only problem I had, although this has more to do with my machine than the walking foot, was that my pressure foot lever only has one position--it does not raise up very high off the feeder dogs. The walking foot seems to sit a bit lower--leaving less clear ance between the foot and the feeder dogs--than the presser foot, so I really had to flatten and sort of angle-in/wedge the fleece to get it under the walking foot, however, once the fabric was in place, the walking foot worked really, really well. I was hemming fleece pajama bottoms that were pretty thick (probably close to the thickness of 2 layers of cotton and quilting batting) and the hems came out straight without any puckering. If your machine has a multi-level presser foot, you should have plenty of clearance for your fabric with this foot. Very happy with the added capabilities this gives my old machine.

4Not brand name, but works great
By jess
I ordered this from Metropolitans Warehouse. The foot arrived in a timely manner and works great on My Singer® Confidence 7463. I feel I should point out that it is not a genuine Singer® part, which I don't think is clear from the description.
