Product Description

The Little Foot® was designed by a quilter for quilters as an aid to obtain consistent 1/4" seam allowance.

The right edge is 1/4" from the center needle position, which gives you an exact 1/4" seam allowance. The left edge is a scant 3/8" from the center needle position. This gives a better tension control, as it will cover more feed dogs on most machines. Little Foot is notched 1/4" in front of and behind needle center as a reference for starting, stopping and pivoting.

The Little Foot fits most standard low shank machines that are straight stitch, center needle position. As with any straight stitch foot, the needle may break if left in the zigzag position.

not exactly a scant quarter inch

i had hoped this would be the perfect "scant quarter inch" solution for my featherweight for quilt piecing but unfortunately, even when the fabric lines up perfectly underneath the side of the foot, it still doesn't make the scant quarter inch that it promises for my straight stitch machine. it is a good foot, and it is a great idea, but the right side needs to be just a hair smaller. nice try though. i'm back to marking the bed of my machine with painters tape as a guide to aim by.

Good 1/4" foot

It may be me, but I do not usually have an exact 1/4" seam; it's usually a little over. This presser foot works well for those projects where you need to be able to see what you are doing. This is my second 1/4" foot purchased. It would be nice if the part that is screwed onto the shank was made of metal so it would last. My first one cracked.
